In 2007 internet rose by 80% and malicious hacking is constantly on the increase. It is imperative that
businesses keep their security defences as high as possible to ensure the “hacker” has no possible way
of accessing their information.
Option 2 comes with all the added benefits of option 1, as well as security checks and health checks which
will be performed on a 2 monthly basis. Both checks can be performed more frequently to suit your own
business needs. This will be reflected in the total amount payable.
Security checks consist of finding/removing malicious software, removing adware/spyware and updating
antivirus protection. Antiviruses and firewalls will also be configured correctly. In most circumstances, security
defences are not configured correctly which enables adware/spyware, malicious software and viruses to gain
entry to your system and access important information stored on your computer, and any other computers on
your business network.
Health checks consist of maintaining your computers performance and “cleaning out” any clutter which has
built up due to constant use, general software and using the internet. Each time you use a program which is
installed on your computer, it uses temporary files to be able to process the information. When you close the
program the temporary files are dropped on to your hard drive and stored there. Over a short period of time, this
will decrease your computers performance, making it slow and “sluggish”.
